Rural Internship

SHIM believes in imparting education with high moral values among the students. In this direction, five villages are adopted by the institute Under ‘Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan’, an ambitious project by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. This is a special campaign in collaboration with IIT Delhi to make the higher education students active partner in rural development. The villages adopted are Manikhedi, Guradiya, Kardai, Nipaniya Sukha and Rojibeg. After the first activity ‘Medical Camp’ held in January 2020, the students of SHIM went for another initiative on 6th & 7th March. This is a special Rural Household Survey proposed by HRD ministry in order to collect information about basic issues of the villagers. The students were divided in groups and under faculty guidance, data were collected. The villagers appreciated this initiative wholeheartedly and provided vital information to the students. The data collected would be processed and sent to HRD ministry for further analysis.
