Rural Internship

SHIM believes in imparting education with high moral values among the students. In this direction, five villages are adopted by the institute Under ‘Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan’, an ambitious project by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. This is a special campaign in collaboration with IIT Delhi to make the higher education students active partner in rural development. The villages adopted are Manikhedi, Guradiya, Kardai, Nipaniya Sukha and Rojibeg. After the first activity ‘Medical Camp’ held in January 2020, the students of SHIM went for another initiative on 6th & 7th March. This is a special Rural Household Survey proposed by HRD ministry in order to collect information about basic issues of the villagers. The students were divided in groups and under faculty guidance, data were collected. The villagers appreciated this initiative wholeheartedly and provided vital information to the students. The data collected would be processed and sent to HRD ministry for further analysis.

A workshop on “Micro Analysis of Financial Statements” was conducted in Sant Hirdaram Institute of Management on 28th February 2020, where the trainer was Dr. S. SHIM Haat

A unique event “SHIM Haat” was organized jointly by Entrepreneurship Development Club and Cultural club on 24th February. This event consisted of SHIM Haat and Food Fest where students learnt marketing skills and capabilities along with grooming of entrepreneurial spirit. The students showed their creativity through various stalls, which included decorative items; variety of food items along with fun games. They made logo of their stalls, prepared jingles and business plan. The students of SHIM group of institutions visited the stalls and enjoyed the delicacy of Sindhi, Gujarati, South Indian, Punjabi food prepared by the students.

SHIM students won First prize in National Business Plan Competition organised by TIT Bhopal on 10th February. The team of students Ms. Rosnhi Mangtani, Ms. Shalini Ratlani, Ms. Payal Motiyani and Ms. Nandini Nagotra received Rs. 10,000 Cash Prize. There were teams from Bhopal, Mumbai who presented their plan with enthusiasm.

The students of SHIM are sent to participate in various events on state level and national level. By winning various prizes, they bring laurels to the institute. The series of victory started from 8th January, when students of SHIM participated in Biz mania- management fest organised by MK Ponda College and won various prizes in activities exclusively for PG students. The students won 1st and 2nd prize in Business Plan, 1st prize in Brand War, 2nd prize in Best out of Waste, 1st prize in Cloud Trail, 3rd prize in Talent Hunt and 2nd prize in 50 ka Fanda. Runners in National Research Paper contest

In Sixteenth National Research Paper Presentation Competition for students, ‘Jigyasa-2020’ hosted by Prestige Institute of Management and Research Indore on 11th January 2020, SHIM students Ms. Aishwarya Wadhwani and Ms. Shweta Singh (MBA II Sem) stood Second and received cash Prize Rs. 2,000. Their topic was related to corporate expectations from management students. Participants from various institutes of the country presented papers with high level of enthusiasm. Another team of students Ms. Richa Yadav and Ms. Priyanshi Verma (MBA Integrated II Sem) received special applause from the jury of panel members.
